The Ministry of Economy and Dubai Silicon Oasis launch a support program for Emirati real estate startups

The UAE Ministry of Economy and Tourism has signed an agreement with Dubai Silicon Oasis to support Emirati entrepreneurs jointly. The announcement was made during Minister Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri’s visit to the Dubai Technology Entrepreneur Campus (Dtec) – the largest tech campus in the Middle East, home to hundreds of startups.

The agreement is part of the national campaign “The Emirates – The World’s Startup Capital”, launched by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Its main goal is to create an ecosystem that enables Emirati entrepreneurs to access not only funding but also expertise, data, and international markets.

Dtec showcased real success stories instead of presentations

During his visit, the Minister met with founders of several Emirati startups, including Baytukum – one of the first local real estate crowdfunding platforms – and Check In Portal, a company developing digital tools for web design. Entrepreneurs shared their experiences and challenges in scaling and expanding into foreign markets.

Special attention was given to the new incubator for Emirati real estate projects, established jointly by Dubai Silicon Oasis and the Dubai Land Department. The program targets those who want to launch a real estate startup but don’t know where to begin. Participants receive mentorship, training, and assistance in market entry.

The initiative comes at a time when real estate news UAE increasingly highlights the growth of proptech solutions and the government’s active efforts to digitize the sector. At the same time, procedures such as heirs ownership registration in Dubai are being simplified, making the property market more transparent and investor-friendly.

Why this matters for Dubai’s economy

The agreement brings together the resources of government and semi-government entities to support entrepreneurship. Dtec provides infrastructure and investor connections, while the Ministry ensures flexible regulation and access to international programs. As a result, startups receive comprehensive support throughout all stages – from idea to global scale-up.

The “Emirates – The World’s Startup Capital” campaign involves more than 50 government and private institutions, business incubators, and universities. It is coordinated by the Ministry of Economy together with the UAE Government Media Office and the Entrepreneurship Council.

Program benefits for participants:

  • Access to Dtec’s infrastructure, including coworking spaces and tech resources
  • Mentorship from experienced entrepreneurs and industry experts
  • Direct connections with investors and venture capital funds
  • Support in entering international markets

Key areas of focus:

  • Technology startups in artificial intelligence
  • Digital services and online platforms
  • Proptech and real estate innovation
  • Innovative solutions for traditional industries

According to him, Dtec creates an environment where Emirati innovators can transform ideas into globally competitive products through a flexible business framework and advanced digital infrastructure. Minister Abdulla bin Touq emphasized that Dubai Silicon Oasis plays a vital role in transforming Dubai into a hub of entrepreneurship and innovation. The collaboration strengthens the UAE’s move toward a knowledge-based economy driven by innovation, aligning with the leadership’s vision of making the Emirates a global capital for startups.
